An Introduction to Eintou Poetry
Join us virtually on June 17 at 7pm for an introduction to Eintou Poetry. Rochester writer and spoken artist Lu Highsmith will help us understand the history and purpose of Eintou, a form of African-American poetry. The one hour Zoom session will end with the participants writing a collective Eintou poem. Lu Highsmith, a Rochester native, is a writer, publisher, promoter, and spoken word artist. She has performed at festivals and coffee houses, nursing homes, schools, churches, art galleries, clubs, and community events throughout New York State, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Canada.
