In-Person Library Hours

October 20, 2020 at 10:10 AM

Welcome back! During in-person library hours, visitors may browse our collections, use our public computers and printer, and access circulation services such as applying for a library card. Our service desks are open for reference and recommended reading, but please remember that all assistance from our staff will be touch-free--think technology assistance--and occur from a safe distance. Library events will continue to be held online for the foreseeable future.

Before your library visit, we ask that you review our safety procedures. Our reopening plans consider the four components stressed by the county and state as key to safe operations while our community navigates the pandemic: face covering, social distancing, hand hygiene, and sanitizing surfaces.

Face Covering

Please wear a face covering when you visit the library. Acceptable face coverings are made of paper or cloth and cover both the nose and mouth. Children under the age of 3 are the exception, but they must be carried, confined to a stroller, or holding their adult's hand throughout their visit. Curbside pickup will remain an option for those who are unable to wear a face covering or simply enjoy the service.

Social Distancing

Please give everyone 6 feet of space. You will notice that our computers and furniture have been spread out to allow for social distancing. In addition, follow the directional arrows on the floor while browsing the stacks and take turns using the elevator.

Hand Hygiene

Clean hands keep you healthy. Hand sanitizer is available at our entrance and in all restrooms. Please wash your hands regularly.

Sanitizing Surfaces

Our building is cleaned daily using cleaning solutions from the New York State Registered Disinfectants Based on EPA List. We have disposable sanitizing wipes available for those using our public computers, as well as keyboard covers.

More information about our safety procedures can be found in our safety plan
