Adventures in Suburban Homesteading - Don't try this at home!
Homesteading is a way to take fuller responsibility for our lives, meeting as many needs as possible from the place we steward and call home. That can mean growing some or all of our food, raising livestock, keeping a flock of laying chickens, and finding ways to generate an income from home. Homesteading in the suburbs offers some unique opportunities and challenges. On Wednesday, August 26, from 7-8:30pm, you'll have the opportunity to join Patty Love, Founder and Owner of Barefoot Ecological Design, as she shares successes and mishaps of her 9 years of homesteading in the ‘burbs as a single parent – along with a list of things she recommends you not replicate! Remember, a wise person learns from another’s mistakes. Please register.
Adventures in Suburban Homesteading will meet online using Zoom. Some basic knowledge of how to use Zoom is required, such as how to join a meeting. Email invitations will be sent out to registrants 12-24 hours in advance. Don't know how to use Zoom? We've got classes for that! Check out our full events calendar for dates and times.
