Someone gave my 1 1/2-year-old daughter the Seek-a-Boo matching game this past Christmas, and she loves it! She isn't quite ready to play Memory yet, but she loves to spread out the cards and figure out which ones look alike. She also likes to sort through all the cards and ask us what each picture is. And most of all, she loves to dump out the whole box of 50 cards and make a gigantic mess! For Valentine's Day, we gave her the Peek-a Who? matching game, which is based on Nina Laden's remarkable board book with the same title. It has occupied her for whole minutes at a time, a true toddler feat! This particular game also introduces rhyming vocabulary, which has taught her how to say some new words and make new sounds! --Laura Lintz, Children's Librarian
