Nativities from Around the World
Judi Cermak started collecting cows at garage sales because she liked cows. Throughout the years, she has collected many different things. Eventually, she expanded to collecting nativity sets during her travels to other states and countries. Judi's friends and family began giving her nativities. She now has over twenty-five sets.
Judi taught art in East Bloomfield Elementary School for over thirty years. Now she enjoys working with adults. She made two ceramic nativities herself. She has sets from Alaska, Mexico, Peru, and other lands. She says it is interesting to see the similarities and differences in the artists' interpretations. For example, the manger can be replaced with a tepee, igloo, or coconut shell.
Judi hopes you enjoy her collection and become inspired to start your own collection of favorite things.
