All Aboard for Storytime at the New York Museum of Transportation
On Sunday, August 28 at noon, we will be doing a transportation-themed storytime at the NY Museum of Transportation. Join us to hear stories and sing songs about trains, buses, cars, and other things that go! (Admission to the museum is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors 65 and over, and $6 for youths under 12.)
The New York Museum of Transportation is open Sundays from 11am to 5pm and offers train rides on the only electric trolley operation in New York State. Rides depart every 30 minutes beginning at 11:30am. The museum contains numerous trolley cars, a steam locomotive, horse-drawn and highway vehicles, several model railroads, and a gift shop. Entrance is at 6393 East River Road, just 20 minutes from downtown Rochester and easily reached from Exit 11 off I-390. For more information about the museum, call (585) 533-1113 or visit them online at nymtmuseum.org.
