It’s Almost Time for Sports!

One-Handed CatchYes, winter really will be over soon . . .  it’s nice to think ahead to being outdoors and both playing and watching  baseball and soccer, as well as learning about an athlete or two.    Here are some titles that you might enjoy:

One-Handed Catch   by Mary Jane Auch
Loosely based on true events, this is the story of the (local) author’s husband, who lost his left hand in a meat grinder at age 11, and goes on to win an important baseball game.
