You may search the news index by keyword. Any news item containing that exact keyword anywhere in the abstract of the news article will be cited.

Requesting copies of articles

Requests for a copy of an article should be made by letter.  When requesting copies of articles, please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope, and a letter with your mailing address, phone number, and as much detail as possible about the article requested.

• Librarians will look up articles but only when the date (or approximate date) and subject is known.
• Librarians will try to locate the article and mail it within a week.
• The charge for photocopying is $.15 per page. 
• Out-of-town users who wish to borrow microfilm should consult their local library for Interlibrary Loan policies and procedures.

Guidelines for Indexing

Various librarians at the Henrietta Public Library have selectively indexed the paper over a number of years.  Their intent was to make significant current and historical information available rather than to provide comprehensive indexing of the local paper.  Over the years, some errors in indexing have inevitably been made.  It was impossible to verify all the card entries when converting them to the web version.  There are no remaining guidelines for the indexing prior to 2006 to furnish clues on how concepts were chosen for inclusion in the index.
