About the Library

Get involved!

Your donation to our Library Gift Fund supports projects that create innovative ways to extend our reach and allow our community to connect, discover, and learn. The Gift Fund is managed by our Board of Trustees, and recent projects have included support of our Saturday Preschool SCIENCE-Times, staff development, and our Pop-Up Libraries. Your gift is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Memorial and Commemorative Donations

If you would like your donation to be used to have books dedicated in memory or in honor of someone, please use this form, add a note when you donate electronically, or email afurness@libraryweb.org.

Donate Books and Other Items

our Friends of the Henrietta Library group accepts books, magazines, and other materials to sell in their Book Shoppe. The Friends use their earnings to support library programs and projects, including ALL our summer programs. The Friends gratefully accept up to six cartons or large bags at one time of books in good condition, CDs, books on CD, DVDs, puzzles, magazines (of popular interest in good condition), and text books. They cannot accept Reader's Digest condensed books, encyclopedias, professional journals, trade magazines, newsprint publications, records, cassette tapes, books on tape, VHS tapes, and books in poor condition (musty, smoky, excessively dusty, loose pages, pages that are badly yellowed, no covers). You can drop materials off during any of the library's normal operating hours.

If you're interested in volunteering at the library, please fill out this application and bring it in.
